Sei
Amateur Photographer, ASMRtist, Occasional Streamer & FF14 GPoser.
AboutI'm Sei, Nice to meet you.I'm a very amateur Photographer, ASMR creator & FF14 GPoser that resides in the UK.
What I am not, however, is a master of words, but I hope this brief page helps you understand me a bit better.Photography:
Personally, I find the most important part of my photography is chaos. Not chaos in the images themselves; but how I bring those images into the world.
Sitting on my desk next to me is a bizarre collection of cameras, lenses & accessories that I alternate between to help keep myself challenged & learning whilst I am out and about. My cameras are the biggest inspiration for me when it comes to photography. I try and make sure all of the cameras have different sensors, lenses & capabilities so that I can take a hundred pictures of one object & get fantastically different results every time.
The chances are that if it's a unique digital camera in some way then I already own it or am making plans to own it in the future.
If you'd like to learn more about my cameras, please click here. If you ask me in DMs then please be prepared for me to talk for hours about it.ASMR:
I only took this up relatively recently & for now just have a Blue Yeti for my primary microphone.
A year or two ago I never could have imagined myself doing anything like this but after having a couple of my friends tell me they liked my voice I decided to break out of my comfort zone & give ASMR creation a try.
For now my videos are either audiobook style or my attempts to read scripts. If you'd like me to attempt a script you've created or read you a short story then please DM me on twitter & I'll do my best to make it happen.FF14:
I've been playing FF14 since 2015 & tend to stick to more casual & social content.
To me, GPosing was something I've always wanted to get much better at and right now I'm attempting to apply lessons I've learned from my photography around composition into my poses. Any I take will be posted to my X account.
A mildly-insane man's (non-exhaustive) list of camerasSony A7RII:
The ever-reliable A7RII. This camera is my workhorse. It's technology is a little dated in the autofocus department & it might not be able to take five-thousand pictures a second but the sensor on this thing can capture detail that not a single other camera I own is capable of.
My only full-frame camera.Sony ZV-E10:
I purchased this one with the intention of creating a small but capable video rig but this never materialized. The second I got the camera I paired it with a few of my smaller lenses & discovered that it's an absolutely incredible street photography camera due to its effective autofocus & tiny size.Sony A5000:
This camera is one of Sony's oldest APS-C mirrorless cameras & very dated in comparison to their current offerings. If it was a normal camera that is. This camera has been modified to be full-spectrum which results in some of the most fantastical colours you'll ever see straight out of a camera. Seen an image of mine that looks like it's taken in an alien world? That was this camera.Sony A390:
My first DSLR. This camera is basic yet reliable. It uses a CCD sensor & Sony/Minolta's A-Mount which means I can fit a lot of older but still very capable lenses to this body.Fujifilm X-Pro I:
There's a reason this camera has obtained a cult-like following. Fitted with the (exclusive to Fujifilm) X-Trans I sensor, this camera produces beautiful colours straight out of the box with little to no editing required. I usually pair this one up with vintage glass such as the Helios-44M or Mir-1 as the combination produces truly special images.Fujifilm S-5 Pro:
My 2nd DSLR. I purchased this one because it contains Fujifilm's original unique Sensor, the Super-CCD. Colours produced by this camera are very nostalgic feeling but it is hindered by abysmal auto-focus & a low megapixel sensor.
Another unique selling point of this camera is that it's built inside the body of a Nikon DSLR and uses Nikon mount lenses!Sigma SD Quattro:
My most unique camera yet. This camera contains the revered Foveon sensor with a beautiful yet bizarre camera body surrounding it.
Autofocus is again, lacking on this camera but due to the uniqueness of the images produced this is entirely forgiven.
The Foveon sensor does not have a typical layout with different coloured sensor sites next to each other & instead uses one with the sensor sites underneath each other! This results in images being incredibly detailed with it's 29mp sensor feeling on par with my 42mp Sony A7RII.
The primary downside of this camera is low-light performance. If you're not in the sun or using a flash you will not get a picture.Canon EOS-M:
Another tiny APS-C camera, this little guy specializes in street photography. I've modified it using the custom Magic Lantern firmware for a tiny cinema rig however have not had much of a chance to use it yet.Lytro Illum:
A bizarre science experiment camera made by a now-defunct company. This camera allows you to change your focus subject in post. This camera is absolutely fascinating but is unfortunately hindered by the fact that it can only take low resolution images with often blown out highlights and shadows.
